Let's face it. This isn't about games anymore.
systemMy wife is so cool.
Okay, so I got one of our other systems (named Gwen1600 to designate that it was her computer, and that it was a 1600 mhz system), ripped the hard drives out of it, installed a clean hard drive, put winXP on it, followed by Apache, and PHP plugins. Now, my new WebServer sytem is up and running, on better hardware.
You may be thinking, "Brand is saying that his wife is cool, because she gave up one of her computers for his old-and-busted system". . . but no.
As I was working on the newly-built system, my wife was doing system inventory. She said, "So the webserver's going to have a gig of memory and a 1.6ghz processor, and that will be cool. We're moving the Gwen1600 hard drives into my red system, so I'll have all my stuff consolidated there . . . What about your database system. How fast is that?"
I said, "Well, it's not just the database system, it's also my game system, my development system, stuff like that."
"Yeah, but how fast is it?"
"Um. 1.7ghz with a gig and a half of RAM."
"Hmm . . . well, I'll start shopping around for something faster. A database system needs to be fast."
"Umm. . . . I love you, can I get you some chocolate ice cream?"
It is so freaking cool to have a wife who's a nerd.
