Let's face it. This isn't about games anymore.
In the beginning was the post.
Hello, gentle reader, and welcome to my new blog. I'm planning to use this blog to discuss video game culture, not as a socialogist or as a crazed fanboy, but rather as a gaming insider who likes to discuss what makes games great, and what we are doing to change the face of this interactive environment.
So, where do I get off talking about video games? Well, I'm a seasoned veteran of the gaming industry. I've been coding in video games since I graduated from Texas Tech in 1995.
I've worked on the following titles:
Microprose (Hunt Valley, MD) - European Air War, Gunship!, Tank Platoon 3.
Kinesoft (Austin, TX) - Crimson Order.
Acclaim (Austin, TX) - Turok:Evolution, NBA JAM, PeaceMaker, 100 Bullets.
After Acclaim boiled violently into nothingness, I started working on my own projects. I branched out into acting (I can be seen at the Bastrop Opera House for a radio play performed the last few weeks of May), I started a blog (which I'll probably be rolling into this one), I started working on a Shoutcast radio station with some of my friends (right now, it's just Old-Time Radio, but we're working on original content soon), and I wrote a new game (called The Limit, it can be found here)
While writing my blog, I noticed that my fascination with video games and the people who play them lead me to a lot of discoveries about the culture itself, which I'm hoping to expand upon here.
So, that's a pretty concise description of me. Hope you enjoy this blog, and come back to read it again soon.
